Design Work
At this moment in time, I am working on my E.M.P at uni, but on the side I am working on one or two projects.
Part from that I am working on two other production - working with the actors from the Art Institute, BA Acting,
One of them is base on an Edgar Allan Poe, short story, with a Tim Burton look to it. Below you will see the two designs I have been working on.

Mary Barton
December 4th -6th 2008
I was the costume supervisor for this project, I worked with the designer, to make her ideas come to life. Four of the costume's were made. The rest was found or hired.
Also I had to design 6 of the other characters. Mrs Barton and Will Wilson (see image below) was just two of the characters that I designed.

My Work
this is the first time I've started a Blog, and as that is the way this world is going I better make a start.
Nicholas Nickleby - Jellicoe Theatre
I have been a student know for about 8 years, I start at Jellicoe Theatre, I was there for 4 Years, and it wasn't the best time of my life. But at first I did enjoyed it. By the time I got to the forth and final year, it went down hill, well as they say, to much of a good thing.
My F.M.P was a 6hr production of Nicholas Nickleby (see above image). Where I was to designed the costumes and then find them, well it didn't really happen that way. I realised that the course didn't do much in costume, it is more Stage management, Set, Sound and Lighting based. I will say this if you want to learn a little bit about the Theatre, then go there. but there are better places.
In my 3rd year there, I knew what area of the theatre I wanted to work in, that is Costume. You see I wanted be be an actor but over time things change.
After Jellicoe, I went to the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, My Interview, was i think great, I know I didn't get on at first, but they said if I do a FD Yr first, then go on, they did say I knew a lot about theatre. After the interview, I know where I wanted to be. I ended up on a FD course, then after that, and that was a great, time, trying out new things, and being free with ART, so to say. but I still long to do Costume.
The Costume Course, at first I really didn't think I was right for it. but I kept going, it wasn't until the 2nd yr where I supervised a project, I really found something I can do, and do it well, and it's this that I want to do as a job later on. With help the Course Team. and now you see I'm on the last year, which I think, is a big job, and a great thing to look back on what I have done, and after being told that I wouldn't be able to read and write again.
